Building Financial Confidence Since 2019
We started zavrelinotaq because too many people felt lost with their finances. Not because they weren't smart enough, but because nobody explained things in a way that actually made sense for their real lives.
Established 2019Learning Together Makes the Difference
When Philippa Rathert joined one of our workshops in early 2024, she wasn't expecting to walk away with more than just knowledge. She found a group of people facing similar challenges with budgeting and planning.
That's what happens when you bring people together around something practical. The conversations during breaks often teach as much as the structured sessions. Someone shares how they finally got their emergency fund started, another person explains their approach to tracking expenses without going mad.
The People Behind zavrelinotaq
Kasper Lindgren
Financial Education SpecialistI spent years in traditional banking before realizing most financial advice completely misses the mark. People don't need complicated investment strategies when they're still trying to figure out how to save their first thousand dollars.
My background is in behavioral economics, which is a fancy way of saying I study why people make the money decisions they do. Turns out, logic isn't the main driver. Emotions, habits, and what we learned from our parents matter way more than interest rate calculations.
At zavrelinotaq, I focus on building programs that acknowledge this reality. We start with small wins because confidence matters more than perfect optimization when you're just getting started.

Curriculum Development LeadBefore joining zavrelinotaq in 2023, I taught high school mathematics. The number of students graduating without basic financial literacy genuinely worried me. They could solve quadratic equations but had no idea what a tax return was.
That experience shaped how I approach curriculum design here. Everything needs to be practical first, theory second. If someone can't apply it to their actual life within a week, we've failed.
I also learned that people retain information better when they're not terrified of looking stupid. Creating a judgment-free environment isn't just nice, it's essential for actual learning to happen.
How We've Grown
-
1March 2019
Started with Weekend Workshops
Ran our first budgeting workshop in a borrowed community hall in Castle Hill. Twelve people showed up, which felt like a lot at the time. The feedback was brutally honest, which helped us improve quickly.
-
2November 2020
Moved Online During Lockdowns
Like everyone else, we had to adapt. Turned out virtual sessions worked better for some people anyway. Parents with young kids, people in regional areas, anyone who hated commuting appreciated the flexibility.
-
3August 2022
Developed Specialized Programs
Created targeted content for specific situations: managing finances after divorce, handling variable income, recovering from debt. Generic advice only goes so far when circumstances vary this much.
-
4February 2024
Launched Peer Support Groups
Realized ongoing support mattered more than one-off workshops. Started facilitating small groups that meet monthly. The accountability and shared experience makes a real difference in following through on financial goals.

5September 2025
Planning Extended Programs
Working on comprehensive six-month programs starting autumn 2026. Not just teaching concepts, but actually walking alongside people as they implement changes. Takes longer, but the results stick better.
